M.A.C. Solutions, developer of the ProcessVue® suite of alarm management software, has announced a distribution agreement with Gray Matter Systems, a provider of data-driven solutions for critical infrastructure industries including oil & gas, power generation, water and waste water markets in North America and Canada.
Gray Matter Systems is a rapidly growing business and one of the largest automation software distributors in North America. The company has two offices in the USA (Pittsburgh and Houston) with two further offices in Canada (Toronto and Montreal). With a wealth of expertise in Plant Systems, HMI/SCADA, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), Data Historians, and plant floor connectivity and control, Gray Matter Systems is an ideal distribution partner for ProcessVue®.
The agreement with M.A.C. Solutions enables Gray Matter Systems to sell and support ProcessVue® in North America and Canada. ProcessVue® is a suite of software that provides clear, relevant and prioritised information to plant operators, supervisors and managers, enabling them to make better-informed decisions about their processes and plant safety. The software combines the latest communication, data logging and reporting technologies with a Master Alarm Database, a set of alarm rationalisation tools and comprehensive Management of Change functionality.
John Pritchard, Managing Director of M.A.C. Solutions commented: "For more than 12 months, we've been looking for a strong ProcessVue® partner for North America. The agreement with Gray Matter Systems is therefore a key step for us in our strategic initiative to increase the geographical presence of ProcessVue® in South America, North America and Europe. Whilst we already have a strong customer base in Europe and a growing presence in South America, Gray Matter Systems will open up new markets for ProcessVue® in the USA and Canada, which are important markets for us, particularly in terms of their oil & gas, energy and water industries."
He continued: "Gray Matter Systems is a very stable, healthy business with a proven track record in key ProcessVue® target markets. The company also has a very strong, talented sales and support staff, who understand their customers' needs and who have many years' experience in industrial automation consultancy, data-driven software solutions and support."
James Gillespie, CEO of Gray Matter Systems agreed: "We are very excited about the agreement with M.A.C. Solutions, as it enables us to offer a premium software product such as ProcessVue® to our existing and new customers in the US and Canada."
"As a business, we understand that using technology to run a successful operation is more than just software and products. It's also about people - people who understand problems, can architect solutions within a budget, deliver benefit, and work with plant operators to adopt the solution. Being in business for over 20 years has allowed our engineers to become experts in really understanding customers' needs. Our team of consultants, engineers and IT specialists can analyse a situation, make improvements to a customer's plant, business or organisation, upgrade their ageing systems with smart improvements, and leverage their current assets to uncover ROI," he added.
